Bob Geldof has been bashed for starting a ‘foul-mouthde’ rant during his performance with the Boomtown Rats.
The 64-year-old has been accused of ‘inappropriate’ language at the Brentwood Festival last week.
He lashed out at the crowd saying that they were too “tame” and were wearing “wall to wall f****** Primark.”
“We are mega. And you are Brentwood. How do we know that you are Brentwood and we are mega? Because I am wearing a f*** off pretend snakeskin suit and [they] are wearing f*** off cowboy shirts even though they live in London.”
Then he turned to the crowd to say, “On the other hand Brentwood, you are wearing wall to wall f****** Primark.
“This is a rock and roll festival! When you come to a rock and roll festival, dress for a rock and roll festival!”
The rock star has been known to lash out openly, with little care of the reaction from the public.
Many were fuming over the disaster performance:
So Bob Geldof walked off after only one song. Which makes sense as he's lived off one song for over 30 years. #brentwoodfestival

Ironic that Bob Geldof attacks people’s clothing choices. He looks like he gets his garments from a dustbin!

Bob Geldof is a grandiose, obnoxious, privileged, deluded, arrogant bollocks. Ditto his pal Bono.

One even said “I’m amazed that this arrogant talentless hasbeen-who-never-was ever gets booked anywhere…”
