A sell out event that continues to be London’s greatest cocktail festival sees some of the best bars across the capital offering up creative tipples and providing an exciting showcase of emerging drink trends.

Want to see what some of the best of bartending talent is shaking up? Here are some ones to watch.

Gooseberries

Goji berries have been and gone, it’s time for this underrated current to shine as it bursts into season and onto the scene.

Cocktails in London

Hailed as Clapham’s finest cocktail bar, the guys at PKD present this twist on the classic gin based collins. In a refreshing and fruity turn, think English countryside flavours of elderflower balanced out with a hint of absinthe and the crisp, salty notes of freshly picked samphire (side note: foraged ingredients are also totally still a thing).

• Absinthe wash
• 35ml Plymouth Gin
• 35ml gooseberry and samphire cordial
• Topped with elderflower soda and served long over crush ice.

Vegetables

7 Tales: Jessica Rabbit

The name alone is a winner (because who didn’t love that film?) and neon-clad, Tokyo-styled bar 7 Tales has conjured up a sweet rum sour with smashed carrot, zingy lime and tart berries.

• 45ml Banks Rum
• 20ml Cocchi-infused Strawberry
• 15ml Sugar Syrup 3
• 0ml Lime
• 2 slices of carrot
• Egg white Blend
• Shake, strain into a coupette, garnish with raspberry powder.

The Cocktail Trading Co.: The East End Dicky Bird

Cocktails in London

Don’t let the crumbles fool you, rhubarb is a vegetable. Not a fruit. Honest. The award winning team behind the stick in Brick Lane have added a pinch of sweetness and spice to this juniper-lead elixir.

• FUNKIN Mixed Berry
• Beefeater Gin
• Rhubarb Cordial
• Bergamot Sherbet
• Black Pepper

Wimbledon Inspiration

Basically your quintessential courtside staple in liquid, boozy form.
Irresistible.

Fifteen: Strawberries and cream

As you’d expect from the gastronomic geniuses at Jamie Oliver’s east end destination venue, the recipe is pretty intense, but totally worth it (and available on request). The closest you’ll ever get to a boozy berries and cream, this milk punch will make any domestic god or goddess host with the most. Bringing together Langley’s Gin and dry vermouth with your most banging strawberries, tarragon, Japanese green tea, lemon, and coconut water – this is one not to be missed.

Expect edible garnishes, playful presentation and a host of flavourful surprises as the city’s best bars continue to push boundaries and take the drinking experience to dizzying new levels.
