A doctor has been shot in a Berlin hospital. It is reported the shooter has also died from a self-inflicted wound.
The doctor was criticllay injured, Berlin police confirmed. He later succumb to his injuries less than two hours after being shot.
The police have currently taken control of the situation and have sealed off he area. The force also stated that they believe that terrorism was not what fuelled the attack.
It has also been said no one else has been injured and that the gunman was alone and did not have any help.
This has yet to be confirmed however.
Since July 18, Germany has experienced 5 terrorist attacks, creating a tension between the citizens and the migrants currently residing in their country.
The four attacks, three of which were committed by migrants, left 10 people dead and injured 34.
This also has had negative effects on the idea of multiculturalism within Europe.
The shooting took place inside the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (University Hospital Steglitz).
Charité is one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe, based in the centre of Berlin.
