P Diddy is up for performing at the royal wedding

Rapper P Diddy says he is “just a phone call away” if Prince William wants him to play at the royal wedding.

The star, currently in the UK promoting his album Last Train To Paris, also said he wanted to have lunch with the Queen.

Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, told The Sun: “I’m cool with adding to Prince William’s festivities. Whatever I can do to contribute. I’m just a phone call away.”

The royal couple will marry at Westminster Abbey on April 29 in a ceremony expected to draw in a huge worldwide audience.

A spokeswoman for the royal family declined to comment, but Diddy is not the first hip-hop star linked to the forthcoming wedding.

Snoop Dogg dedicated his single, Wet, to the prince, amid rumours he was going to be asked to play at his stag night.

The star said on his website: “Wet is the perfect anthem for Prince William or any playa to get the club smokin.”

South London rapper Tinie Tempah is also said to be another performer wanted at the stag do for the prince, a self confessed fan of rap and dance music.
