Two Polish police officers have arrived on the streets of Essex in a bid to allay fears about a suspected rise in hate crime.
The officers were sent to Harlow to reassure members of the Polish community after Arkadiusz Jozwik was killed in the area last month.
Police are treating the attack as possibly racially aggravated.
It is understood that the officers will not have police powers and will be there in a community-support role.
The Essex town has a large Polish population.
