One of the terrorists involved in last week’s attack in France had been working in an airport.
Abdel Malik Petitjean was one of two men shot dead by police after an elderly priest was murdered during mass in Normandy.
There have been two arrests since the killing on suspicion of “terrorist association”.
But security forces have been criticised since it emerged that the Islamist terrorists were under surveillance by authorities at the time of the attack.
Paris Correspondent for the Irish Times Lara Marlowe says one attacker had been working in an airport: “Petitjean the killer from the French Alps had worked as a bag handler at an airport until April.
“So imagine he had free access to baggage going on and off planes he could easily have planted a bomb in the airport or on a plane.”
