What is the best thing about working at Ashburton Cookery School?

*I work with an excellent team in a job that never stands still. We continually evolve and strive to be the best at what we do. Devon is a wonderful place to work and the produce around us is amazing. Combine that with the ability to teach and pass on skills and passion to others there is nothing else I would rather do.*

Are you working on any new and exciting courses for 2015?

*I had a holiday in Cyprus in 2014 and was blown away by some of the Greek food that I ate including a meal at the renowned Taverna Mousikous. I am looking at developing a Greek Mezze course to bring some of that culture to Ashburton and show people the simplicity of the food and a delightful way of entertaining for a dinner party with friends. Casual dining has really become a big thing and there’s nothing better than putting a range of fresh
healthy tasty dishes in the middle of a dining table for a great sociable evening.*

*On our professional courses we are excited to be launching our new 20 week level 3 Culinary Diploma in Patisserie. Our Pastry Tutor Colin has been working hard behind the scenes to bring this new idea to life with just 20 spaces available each year.*

How important is sourcing for you?

*It’s everything. Myself and the team at the cookery school spend hours each week making sure we are purchasing the best produce we can buy. We have extended our range of suppliers recently in all areas of our purchasing which is helping us find the best.*
