Owen Wilson has hinted that he could be appearing in Wes Anderson’s upcoming film Moon Rise Kingdom.
Apart from Bill Murray, none of Wes’ frequent collaborators such as Jason Schwartzman, Angelica Huston and siblings Owen and Luke Wilson were included in the castlist for the 1960s-set drama.
But asked if he would turn up in Moon Rise Kingdom, Owen – who has worked with the filmmaker in his six films – dropped a pretty big hint, reported The Playlist.
“I am not going to be a part of it,” he said, before adding: “Well, I won’t be playing one of the main characters in it.”
He continued: “I have read the script and it’s really funny. It’s really good.”
When asked if the part is a cameo, Owen – who next stars in Little Fockers alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro – said, grinning: “You never know”.
Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton are reported to be in talks for Moon Rise Kingdom, which follows the story of two young lovers who decide to run away.
