		</div><p>Smoke has been sent billowing into the sky above London as firefighters battle a large blaze in Greenwich.</p>
<p>More than 15 fire engines and 100 firefighters are at the scene on Tunnel Avenue &#8211; with the fire affecting a recycling yard, some industrial units and a pub.</p>
<p>London Fire Brigade said they have received more than 50 calls about the incident, with the first coming in at around 11.43am.</p>
<p>Crews from East Greenwich, Greenwich, Plumstead, Eltham, Deptford, Lewisham, Poplar, Whitechapel and Bethnal Green are currently in attendance.</p>
<p>As the crews work to bring the fire under control, the LFB has said in a tweet that some gas cylinders are involved, and a safety cordon is being set up.</p>

<p>Images shared across social media show a plume of black smoke which can been seen from across the capital.</p>
<p>Pictures of flames raging behind the Ibiza-style nightclub Studio 338 have also been widely posted.</p>
<p>Transport for London has also tweeted to say Millennium Way and Boord Street have been closed because of &#8220;possible smoke across the carriageway&#8221;.</p>
<p>The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were on the scene and &#8220;assisting&#8221; with the incident.</p>
