<p>A man armed with a knife has stabbed 11 people at random on the Mediterranean holiday island of Ibiza, officials said.</p>
<p>Six of the victims required hospital treatment after the incident in the town of Sant Antoni, and two of them are in a serious condition, a Civil Guard official said.</p>
<p>The assailant cut himself in the throat as police arrested him, the police official said.</p>
<p>It was not immediately known if any of the stabbing victims were foreigners.</p>
<p>The official said the assailant was a 41-year-old Moroccan whose motive was unknown, but it was believed he had mental health problems.</p>
<p>A police statement said he lived in Sant Antoni and had money problems.</p>
<p>The official said the attacker started stabbing people at random in a supermarket, then went outside and continued knifing people as he walked down the street. Police eventually subdued him.</p>
