		</div><p>An ambush in the Yemeni port city of Mocha has killed 44 anti-rebel fighters, according to security officials and witnesses.</p>
<p>The officials said that the ambush by Shiite rebels, known as Houthis, took place on Monday.</p>
<p>In a separate development, security officials said more than 20 Houthi fighters were killed on Monday and Tuesday in clashes in the central Marib province.</p>
<p>Yemen’s fighting pits the Houthis and allied army units against forces loyal to the internationally recognised government, as well as southern separatists and militants.</p>
