		</div><p>50 Cent has filed for federal bankruptcy protection, days after a jury ordered him to pay millions in an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit.</p>
<p>Rapper and actor Curtis Jackson III, who owns a home in Farmington, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in US District Court in Hartford.</p>

<p>The filing lists both his assets and liabilities as between US$10 and $50m.<br />
It comes days after a New York jury ordered the star to pay $5m to a woman who said he acquired a video she made with her boyfriend, added himself as a crude commentator and posted it online without her permission, on July 10.<br />
50 Cent’s attorneys and his publicist did not immediately respond to phone and email requests seeking comment.</p>
<p>The father-of-two, whose life story was adapted for the big screen in Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, has appeared in films such Spy, Last Vegas and the upcoming Southpaw alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.</p>
