<p>Ben Affleck and Matt Damon&#8217;s new film has reportedly upset former Yankee Mike Kekich.</p>
<p>Ben and brother Casey have written The Trade, which Matt is tipped to direct, about the true story of when baseball player Kekich and fellow pitcher Fritz Peterson swapped wives in the 1970s.</p>
<p>But The New York Post reports Kekich, who is believed to have created a completely new life and family in New Mexico, is keen to block the movie and is refusing to participate in helping with a rewrite of the script.</p>
<p>Die-hard Red Sox fan Ben and his brother are rewriting a second version of the script and have apparently hired veteran sportswriters to help reach out to Yankees from that era, but Kekich and several others won&#8217;t play ball, in the hope of delaying the project.</p>
<p>Ben is reportedly set to play Peterson and Matt will play Kekich.</p>
<p>Actresses being considered for roles apparently include Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz and Rebecca Hall.</p>
<p>Ben recently told MTV: I don&#8217;t know how it&#8217;ll come together, acting and directing, but Casey and I have decided to write it together &#8211; once the script&#8217;s kind of ready, then it&#8217;s like: Who&#8217;s doing what? Matt, me, Casey directing?</p>
<p>&#8220;Particularly for Matt, he&#8217;s had this extraordinary career where he&#8217;s worked with these great directors. He&#8217;s a great director who just hasn&#8217;t directed a movie.&#8221;</p>
<p>Matt has made no secret of his desire to direct a movie, but has said he wants to bide his time.</p>
<p>&#8220;[Directing] really is something that I hope I can have in my life. It&#8217;s the pipe dream of a life, really &#8230; I&#8217;m dying to [direct soon],&#8221; he told Collider.</p>
