		</div><p>Two people were killed and at least seven injured as a gunman opened fire at a cinema before shooting and killing himself.</p>
<p>It follows last week’s mass shooting in which five military servicemen were killed by a lone gunman at an army recruiting centre in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and comes after nine black churchgoers, including a state senator, were shot dead by a white gunman in a racially motivated attack earlier this summer in Charleston, South Carolina.</p>
<p>Social media users across America and the world took to Twitter to express their grief, support and disappointment following the latest tragedy in the US.<br />
For many, the response was one of anguish and weariness at what is being called yet another act of “domestic terrorism”.</p>
