		</div><p>Apple is to offer free coding lessons every day in its retail stores throughout Europe next week as part of EU Code Week.</p>
<p>The technology giant will run at least one session a day in each of its European stores, with lessons open to all ages and computer literacy levels. In total, more than 2,000 sessions will take place during the event.</p>

<p>“Coding is a critical skill that gives people of all ages the chance to create and share their ideas with the world,” Apple chief executive Tim Cook said.</p>
<p>“Apple has long believed coding is the language of the future, and we’ve created a range of tools to make it fun and accessible for everyone. We’re thrilled to offer thousands of sessions in Apple stores for EU Code Week, and can’t wait to share our love for coding with young people and educators across Europe.”</p>
<p>The firm already offers coding lessons as part of its Today at Apple programme, the creative skill sessions that regularly run in its retail stores. Apple also has its own Everyone Can Code curriculum, which is used by “hundreds” of institutions in Europe, including in many schools, as a way to introduce people to coding.</p>
<p>EU Code Week actually runs for more than a fortnight – October 6-21 – and is designed to promote coding and digital literacy.</p>
