		</div><p>A newborn girl with her umbilical cord still attached has plunged from the window of a New York City apartment building.</p>
<p>Police are questioning the girl’s mother after responding to an emergency services caller who reported that an infant had fallen out of a window at the seven-floor building in the Bronx.</p>
<p>The baby was pronounced dead by first responders in the building’s rear concrete courtyard.</p>
<p>Police say the baby showed signs of trauma.</p>
<p>No arrests have been made.</p>
<p>A secretary for the building’s landlord said 50 people live there.</p>
