		</div><p>A baby girl has been shot dead while riding in a car, US authorities have said.</p>
<p>The Cleveland county medical examiner’s office says emergency medics rushed the five-month-old girl to a children’s hospital, where she died after she was in the chest on East 143rd Street near Kinsman Avenue.</p>
<p>Police said the baby’s mother was driving with at least one other person in a neighbourhood a few miles south east of the city centre, and only the child, identified locally as Aavielle Wakefield, was hit.</p>
<p>Officials suspect the gunfire came from an apartment building, but no immediate arrests were made.</p>
<p>It is the third deadly drive-by shooting of a child in Cleveland over the past month.</p>
<p>A three-year-old boy and a five-year-old boy were killed in September.</p>
