<p>Children named Beth and Josh need to be on their best behaviour for the next few weeks, or risk incurring Santa&#8217;s wrath.</p>
<p>A survey has revealed that youngsters with these names are likely to be the least well behaved, and at the top of the naughty list. But children called Abigail and Jacob can look forward to a pile of presents, as they are most likely to behave well.</p>
<p>The study, by School Stickers, analysed good behaviour and achievement stickers awarded to 57,000 pupils online throughout the UK.</p>
<p>The findings show that the boys names Jacob, Nathan, Samuel, Alexander and Christopher appeared most often among children receiving the stickers, while the top five girls names were Abigail, Louise, Rachel, Elizabeth and Anna.</p>
<p>The naughtiest boys &#8211; the names that appeared least &#8211; were Josh, Scott, Sam, Alex and Tom, while for girls it was Beth, Lydia, Abbie, Paige and Courtney. The survey suggests that children who do not shorten their names are better behaved than those that do.</p>
<p>Harry Shelford, chief executive of School Stickers said: &#8220;Our &#8216;Santa&#8217;s Naughty and Nice list&#8217; is just a light-hearted and fun study.</p>
<p>&#8220;All children are unique and just because a child is called Beth or John does not mean that they are going to be a little terror!</p>
<p>&#8220;Our scheme has been trusted by thousands of schools to reward pupils for good behaviour and achievement ever since it was created by a teacher in 2000, and over 57,000 pupils registered rewards with us this year.&#8221;</p>
<p>School Stickers supplies teachers with stickers, postcards and certificates to give to pupils for good behaviour and achievement.</p>
<p>Teachers can create online codes for the rewards and pupils can register to create an online sticker book. The survey looked at the names of 57,466 pupils.</p>
