It is rather unfortunate that all major British brands no longer exist and besides with the hiking rents and taxes, more will fade away soon.
The business rates are too high especially in central London so it’s inevitable that all these retailers are bound to feel the pinch.
With the prospect of war, the situation is expected to get worse. The recession is looming and the forecast is not looking good.
This is a the result of losing so much power and regulation to the EU, We lost all our made in Britain products because of all the numerous tacky products from the EU.
From what I can see, things will get worse after Brexit and I believe street shopping is going much more down hill.
All the remainers all look for every opportunity to blame Brexit for all pitfalls. Our high street has been on a downward spiral since the last 10 years and one thing for sure is that the online sales will continue to increase whether we like it or not.
