		</div><p>Over the course of April, the number of care home residents dying from coronavirus has decreased. The Office of National Statistics released a publication on Tuesday noting the recent data compilation. The findings show coronavirus-related deaths in care homes started at 95 and peaked at 541. Currently, the numbers have started declining. <img class="aligncenter wp-image-154193 " src="https://londonglossy.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/ONS-CareHome_Covid-19_Deaths.png" alt="" width="610" height="398" /></p>


<p>A total of 21,092 patients have died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK as of 5pm on Sunday, up by 360 from 20,732 the day before. However, the true number is likely to be significantly higher when deaths outside hospitals are included.</p>



<p>The government is taking measures in keeping the infection rates low, and prolonging the lockdown to reduce the risk of a second spike. So long as the infection rate continues its downturn, we will see the deaths in care homes reducing.</p>
