<p>Actor Charlie Sheen has been admitted to hospital with severe abdominal pains, his publicist said.</p>
<p>Stan Rosenfield gave no other details of the 45-year-old star&#8217;s condition.</p>
<p>Celebrity website TMZ.com said Sheen was taken to hospital in Los Angeles by ambulance following an early-morning emergency call.</p>
<p>The Emmy-nominated star of CBS comedy Two And A Half Men has been dogged by personal problems and apparent health issues.</p>
<p>This is his third stay in hospital in as many months.</p>
<p>Last week, CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler said network officials &#8220;have a high level of concern&#8221; about his off-camera behaviour.</p>
