<p>Charlie Sheen has been released from hospital, his publicist said.</p>
<p>The Two and a Half Men star was taken to hospital in Los Angeles by ambulance earlier on Friday after suffering from severe abdominal pains.</p>
<p>Publicist Stan Rosenfield said the actor had a history of hernia problems and insisted Charlie would be back on the set of the hit CBS show when a filming hiatus finishes on Tuesday.</p>
<p>The Emmy-nominated star has been dogged by personal problems and apparent health issues.</p>
<p>This is his third stay in hospital in recent months.</p>
<p>Last week, CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler said network officials have &#8220;a high level of concern&#8221; about his off-camera behaviour.</p>
