<p>Cheryl Cole still suffers from stagefright, Dermot O&#8217;Leary has revealed.</p>
<p>The Fight For This Love singer&#8217;s cool composure melts before a live performance, despite her years of experience performing with Girls Aloud.</p>
<p>&#8220;She breezes through the studio and the auditions and she&#8217;s brilliant, she shows no sign of nerves whatsoever &#8211; but the minute she has to go out there and sing, she absolutely s***s herself,&#8221; said the X Factor presenter at the Elle Style Awards in London.</p>
<p>He added: &#8220;This shows she cares. She&#8217;s so professional and meticulous. What I love about her is how much she cares about it all.&#8221;</p>
<p>Dermot, who presented Cheryl &#8211; who was wearing a stunning red gown &#8211; with her award for best music, is still hoping to team up with her for the US X Factor.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;d rather be travelling with her than Simon,&#8221; he quipped. </p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know, I&#8217;m on the shortlist, that&#8217;s all I know so we&#8217;ll see. I want it but I think it&#8217;s me and four Americans, so chances are I won&#8217;t get it. But it&#8217;s nice to be on the shortlist anyway.&#8221;</p>
