		</div><p>Our phones undertake a lot of activity when in the car with you these days; streaming music, providing directions and being charged all at once, and US car firm Chevrolet has noticed a problem.</p>
<p>All this activity is causing some smartphones to overheat, and this can be a problem because it hits performance, and in some cases can result in charging stopping, or phones shutting down entirely. To combat this Chevy has unveiled a novel solution – a dedicated air conditioning vent for your phone.</p>
<p>In two of Chevy’s 2016 cars – the Impala and the Malibu, the existing wireless charging dock will now come with an air-conditioning vent that goes directly to the dock.</p>

<p>They call it Active Phone Cooling, and Chevy say not only will it help reduce phone temperature at the time, it’ll help prevent damage in the long run.</p>
<p>Chevrolet engineer Dan Lascu said: “Innovation doesn’t mean reinventing the wheel, sometimes simplicity offers the most elegant solution to a problem.”</p>
<p>Wireless charging is itself becoming increasingly common in modern cars, and Samsung launched their first wireless charging pads for use anywhere, alongside their flagship Galaxy S6 and S6 edge smartphones earlier this year.</p>
