<p>The US president-elect went from fiery underdog to win the White House over Democrat Hillary Clinton.</p>
<p>The Manhattan property magnate won the Electoral College vote, while Mrs Clinton won the popular vote.</p>
<p>Time’s managing editor Nancy Gibbs said Mrs Clinton was the number two finalist.</p>
