<p>Emily Blunt has been approached to star opposite Jason Segel in new relationship comedy Five-Year Engagement, according to reports.</p>
<p>Jason and the film&#8217;s director, Nicholas Stoller, previously offered Emily the part of Jackie Q in their Russell Brand comedy Get Him To The Greek, but the British actress could not take the role because of a clash with other projects.</p>
<p>New York Magazine&#8217;s Vulture blog reports that they are still keen to work with The Devil Wears Prada star and have offered the actress the female lead in Five-Year Engagement.</p>
<p>Jason told Collider.com that the film follows the a couple over their five-year engagement with &#8220;break-ups, cross-country moves, and meeting new people,&#8221; and the movie is &#8220;basically about the fluidity of relationships in your twenties.&#8221;</p>
