<p>Eminem could be planning a return to acting with a new film role.</p>
<p>The rapper &#8211; who made his movie debut in the semi-autobiographical 8 Mile nine years ago &#8211; is in talks to star in crime thriller Random Acts of Violence, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.</p>
<p>The film has been in development at Fox for more than four years, and the script has reportedly gone through multiple drafts.</p>
<p>The most recent version apparently features an ex-con just released from prison who is trying to stay on the right side of the law despite pressure from his former associates.</p>
<p>But at the same time, the FBI is trying to recruit him to bring down his old gang.</p>
<p>Writer-director David Von Ancken, who has worked on David Duchovny&#8217;s hit TV show Californication, is in talks to direct.</p>
<p>Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers III, is currently riding high on the success of his most recent album Recovery &#8211; the top-selling album of 2010.</p>
<p>The 38-year-old rapper has only made a few acting cameo appearances since his starring role in 8 Mile in 2002.</p>
