Eminem’s record Recovery has been named as the best-selling album of 2010 in the US.
The rapper’s seventh studio album moved 3.4 million units since its June release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
In second position was Lady Antebellum’s release Need You Now, which shifted 3.1 million copies, followed by Taylor Swift’s album Speak Now.
The country singing sensation’s third album sold about 2.96 million copies since its release in late October.
Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 and Susan Boyle’s The Gift finished off the list of last year’s top five albums stateside.
Meanwhile, Eminem’s Rihanna-assisted single Love the Way You Lie was third on the list of last year’s best-selling songs.
He was beaten to the top spot by Katy Perry’s smash hit, California Gurls, featuring Snoop Dogg, which sold 4.4 million tracks in 2010.
Train’s song Hey, Soul Sister came second with 4.3 million sales.
