Hundreds of refugees have cut through a wire fence at a refuge camp on the Greek island of Chios.

They are protesting at a new EU deal which will see all those whose asylum applications are denied, sent back to Turkey.

460 refugees have died this year trying to get from Turkey to Greece.
The new rules come into force on Monday.

In Dikili in Turkey – where many refugees are due to be sent, locals have gathered to protest their arrival.

Its Mayor, Mustafa Torun has said the area is not big enough: “The infrastructure of Dikili is not suitable for this.

“Nobody asked the people of Dikili about this before making a decision.

“First of all there are concerns over security, and about where these people particularly the children will live and be educated.”
