<p>Eva Longoria has said she was honoured to host Gordon Ramsay at her Los Angeles restaurant Beso.</p>
<p>The Desperate Housewives actress opened the Tex-Mex restaurant in 2009 with American celebrity chef Todd English, and Eva told Tatler she was delighted when Gordon paid a visit.</p>
<p>&#8220;Having Gordon in the restaurant was a huge honour,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p>&#8220;He was impressed and kind to our executive chef and staff. He&#8217;s a real gem, I adore him.&#8221;</p>
<p>Eva, whose own recipe for tortilla soup is on the menu, added that her interest in food stems from her childhood.</p>
<p>&#8220;We weren&#8217;t allowed to eat fast food. We grew our own vegetables &#8211; that&#8217;s why I&#8217;m obsessed with the Food Network,&#8221; she said.</p>
