<p>Eva Longoria has announced her divorce from Tony Parker, while revealing on Twitter &#8220;we still love each other deeply&#8221;.</p>
<p>The Desperate Housewives actress and US basketball star are ending their marriage &#8220;with great sadness&#8221; after three years.</p>
<p>Eva&#8217;s close friend, TV host Mario Lopez, said of reports that the San Antonio Spurs player had been unfaithful to the actress: &#8220;Eva wants everyone to know, she&#8217;s devastated by the rumours of Tony&#8217;s infidelity. She loved her husband and is heartbroken about their split. But she&#8217;s strong.&#8221;</p>
<p>Eva confirmed the divorce by tweeting: &#8220;It is with great sadness that after seven years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other&#8217;s happiness.&#8221;</p>
<p>The actress has filed court papers to divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, and is said to have cancelled her November 21 appearance at the American Music Awards.</p>
<p>The couple married in July 2007 in a Roman Catholic ceremony in Paris, after meeting at one of the player&#8217;s basketball games when she was invited back to the team&#8217;s press room. He is said to have not known that she was famous.</p>
<p>In the divorce filing, the actress requested that her name be restored to Eva Jacqueline Longoria. She had taken Tony&#8217;s name when they married.</p>
<p>The filing also stated the couple had a prenuptial agreement.</p>
<p>Eva asked the court to require each side to pay its own attorney fees. She also wants to receive spousal support from Tony but not pay any to him.</p>
<p>The actress was previously married to soap star Tyler Christopher but the couple split in 2004 after two years.</p>
