<p>Will Ferrell is set to guest star in US TV show The Office.</p>
<p>The American funnyman will play a visiting branch manager who proves to be just as hapless as Dunder Mifflin boss Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, Entertainment Tonight reported.</p>
<p>It is not known how many episodes Will, who gets to reunite with his Anchorman co-star Steve, would feature in and if he would become a regular.</p>
<p>&#8220;We found Steve Carell when he was nothing but a movie star and we turned him into a television star &#8211; we are proud to continue The Office&#8217;s tradition of discovering famous talent, and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they&#8217;ll see what we see: tremendous raw sexuality,&#8221; said the show&#8217;s executive producer Paul Lieberstein. </p>
<p>Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight Schrute, has tweeted his enthusiasm for Will&#8217;s appearance on the show. </p>
<p>&#8220;Yes it&#8217;s true! Will Farrell is joining the Office for (at least) a four episode arc! We&#8217;re psyched!&#8221; he wrote.</p>
<p>Steve has said he will be leaving his lead role in the Emmy Award-winning series after the current seventh season to focus on his family.</p>
