<p>Oscar winner Colin Firth has returned home, days after being crowned king of Hollywood.</p>
<p>The star and his Italian wife, Livia Giuggioli, arrived at Heathrow Airport&#8217;s Terminal 5 on Wednesday.</p>
<p>The King&#8217;s Speech took four awards at Sunday&#8217;s Academy Awards, including best actor for Firth.</p>
<p>The relatively low-budget British film, about King George VI&#8217;s attempt to overcome his stutter, also won best picture, best director and best original screenplay.</p>
<p>Accepting his award, Firth threatened to dance with joy and thanked Ms Giuggioli who he admitted had put up with his &#8220;fleeting delusions of royalty&#8221;.</p>
<p>He told the audience at the 83rd Academy Awards: &#8220;I have a feeling my career has just peaked.&#8221;</p>
<p>The 50-year-old actor, who missed out on the Oscar he was nominated for last year for A Single Man, thanked his British fans, paying tribute to &#8220;all the people who have been rooting for me back home&#8221;.</p>
