<p>Colin Firth will be hoping to extend his winning streak just hours after landing a Golden Globe when the Bafta Film Award nominations are announced on Tuesday morning.</p>
<p>Firth is strongly fancied for the best actor prize for his portrayal of the stammering King George VI in The King&#8217;s Speech &#8211; the role which led to his Globe triumph.</p>
<p>The annual awards &#8211; the biggest movie bash in the UK &#8211; will take place on February 13 at the Royal Opera House, in London, for the fifth year running.</p>
<p>The event, which will be screened on BBC1 next month, attracts some of the biggest names in Hollywood as well as home-grown talent.</p>
<p>The shortlists will be unveiled at Bafta&#8217;s headquarters in Piccadilly, London by screen stars Dominic Cooper and Talulah Riley.</p>
<p>Hotly-tipped movies which are expected to be included in the nominations &#8211; with their stars, directors and writers &#8211; are Black Swan, The King&#8217;s Speech and The Social Network.</p>
