		</div><p>Police in Kosovo have arrested a former Roman Catholic priest from Britain in connection with historical child sex abuse allegations.</p>
<p>Lawrence Soper was detained in the west of the country.</p>
<p>The allegations relate to offences allegedly carried out when he was abbot at a private Catholic school in London in the 90&#8217;s.</p>
<p>He taught at the school for a period of 12 years.</p>
<p>The school, St Benedicts, which is run by Ealing Abbot monks has had a number of allegations made against more than one member of the schools teaching board.</p>
<p>Lawrence Soper is one of five clergy wanted for questioning in relation to paedophile activity involving students and a former headteacher was convicted of abusing five boys.</p>
<p>Scotland Yard have said they are aware of the arrest and are currently liaising with the current authorities.</p>
<p>The man is expected to be extradited back to the UK.</p>
