		</div><p>A four-metre high wall is to be built in Calais to prevent migrants from entering vehicles approaching the port.</p>
<p>The wall &#8211; stretching one kilometre in length &#8211; will cost €2m and be paid for by British taxpayers.<br />
It is the latest measure to beef up security there &#8211; and prevent migrants climbing aboard lorries bound for the UK.</p>
<p>The UK&#8217;s Immigration minister Robert Goodwill revealed the plan as he was questioned by MPs: &#8220;We are going to start building this big new wall, very soon as part of the £17m package that we are doing with the French.&#8221;</p>
