<p>Andrew Garfield is set to star in the big-screen adaptation of the best-selling novel Back Roads, according to reports.</p>
<p>Valentine&#8217;s Day actress Jennifer Garner and Mystic River&#8217;s Marcia Gay Harden are also attached to the murder mystery film, Variety reported.</p>
<p>Andrew, who recently landed the title role in the next Spider-Man film, will play a young man forced to care for his three young sisters when their mother is sent behind bars for killing her abusive husband.</p>
<p>Jennifer will take on the role of a neighbour who becomes romantically involved with Andrew&#8217;s character, while Marcia is his court-appointed therapist, Variety said.</p>
<p>A number of high-profile actresses are also being considered for the roles of Andrew&#8217;s sisters.</p>
<p>British-born Fatal Attraction filmmaker Adrian Lyne is set to direct the Pennsylvania-set film from a screenplay he co-wrote with the book&#8217;s author Tawni O&#8217;Dell. </p>
<p>British-American actor Andrew recently made his name in The Social Network and Never Let Me Go.</p>
<p>Back Roads previously made Oprah Winfrey&#8217;s book club.</p>
