<p>A US judge has commended singer Chris Brown for working hard to complete his probation for last year&#8217;s attack on his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.</p>
<p>The RnB star appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom to update the judge overseeing his assault case.</p>
<p>Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg said no-one had worked harder than Brown to complete the terms of his sentence.</p>
<p>She said he has completed roughly 73 of 180 days of community service and is almost finished with his required domestic violence counselling.</p>
<p>Brown is on five years of probation after pleading guilty last year to assaulting Rihanna in a rented sports car after a pre-Grammy Awards party.</p>
<p>Judge Schnegg has ordered Brown to perform physical labour, but is allowing him to work in his home state of Virginia.</p>
