<p>Glee and Boardwalk Empire were the big TV winners at this year&#8217;s Golden Globes.</p>
<p>Glee &#8211; Fox&#8217;s popular musical show about a high school Glee club &#8211; was named best TV comedy at the Beverly Hills ceremony. Cast members Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer made a clean sweep of the TV supporting actor gongs.</p>
<p>Chris, who plays openly gay student Kurt in the show said: &#8220;To all the amazing kids who watch our show and the kids who our show celebrates who are constantly told &#8216;no&#8217; by the people and their environments, by the bullies at school, that they can&#8217;t be who they are or have what they want because of who they are, well, s***w that.&#8221;</p>
<p>Jane, who plays over-the-top cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, said of her gong: &#8220;My cup runneth over,&#8221; adding: &#8220;Really, and I am nothing if not falsely humble.&#8221;</p>
<p>Katey Sagal and Steve Buscemi both won their first Golden Globes as the top actors in television dramas, with Buscemi&#8217;s Prohibition-era Boardwalk Empire on HBO also be honoured as US TV&#8217;s best drama.</p>
<p>&#8220;I hope we do it for years and years and years,&#8221; said Buscemi, who plays the Atlantic City boss in the cable drama.</p>
<p>Sagal won for her role in Sons Of Anarchy on the FX network, the motorcycle drama created by her husband Kurt Sutter.</p>
<p>Laura Linney won the award for best actress in a comedy or musical with her portrayal of a cancer patient in The Big C. Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory was honoured as best actor in a comedy.</p>
<p>Al Pacino and Claire Danes both won acting awards for television movies. The Sundance Channel&#8217;s story of a drug kingpin, Carlos, won the Globe for best miniseries or television movie.</p>
