		</div><p>More than half of UK women say they have been sexually harassed at work &#8211; and most have never reported it, according to new research. </p>
<p>A new report from the UK&#8217;s Trades Union Congress say its reached a &#8216;shameful level&#8217; with many women subjected to unwelcome jokes, verbal advances and suggestive comments. </p>
<p>The founder of the Everyday Sexism project Lara Bates says this kind of behaviour needs to be taken more seriously: “This is absolutely rampant and I think there is a real sense of normalisation surrounding it.</p>
<p>“There is a sense of shrugging it off, of calling it a joke, of saying it is just a bit of banter, that women should expect it, in some cases people saying that women should enjoy the attention.”</p>
