		</div><p>Katy Perry has seemingly got her claws stuck into Taylor Swift following her Twitter to and fro with Nicki Minaj over the MTV VMA nominations.<br />
Taylor sent Nicki a message on social media after the Anaconda star complained that she had been overlooked for the video of the year category in favour of “other” girls. Taylor has nine nominations, including video of the year for Bad Blood, and she hit back at Nicki accusing her of pitting women against each other.</p>

<p>Now Katy has waded into the debate, apparently accusing Taylor of capitalising on their own fall-out in the song Bad Blood.</p>

<p>Singers Katy and Taylor seemed to have been friends in the past, but hints of a rift emerged when Taylor spoke about her now-released song Bad Blood, which she said was about another female artist who she had fallen out with.</p>
<p>While not coming out and naming Katy, she said last year about a rival pop star: “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.</p>
<p>“And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”</p>
<p>Katy has appeared to hit back at the comments in the past, saying: “If somebody is trying to defame my character you’re going to hear about it.”</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Nicki and Taylor have already made up.</p>
<p>Nicki insisted her comments about the VMA nominations were not a personal attack on Taylor, but simply about how black women in general are overlooked at the awards.</p>

<p>After Taylor’s response Nicki replied to say she hadn’t directed the tweets at her.</p>
