		</div><p>Hugh Jackman is looking forward to scoffing burgers and “having a few beers” now he is stepping down from the role of Wolverine.</p>
<p>The Australian has played the clawed mutant Marvel superhero for almost two decades, but last year told his Instagram followers he would retire from the character after playing Wolverine “one last time”.</p>
<p>Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, the 47-year-old said he would not miss the fitness regime required to maintain his character’s physique.</p>
<p>He said: “I actually do like the feeling of being strong and I’m training way harder than I would if I wasn’t in one of these movies but it’s painful, it actually hurts.</p>
<p>“People say: ‘You get addicted to it.’ I’m not addicted to it.<br />
“I’ll be quite looking forward to having a few beers, some burgers and hanging out.”<br />
Hugh first played Wolverine in 2000′s X-Men movie.</p>
<p>On stepping away from the role after the next film, due in 2017, he said: “One more. That’s the last one … It’s been 17 years, I can’t believe it’s been. It’s amazing.</p>
<p>“With cameos it’s already eight (films), it feels like a lot and I’ve loved it and I’m so excited about this last one. I can’t in my head think of anything else to do with the character, but I know someone else will take over the role.”</p>
<p>The actor will next be seen in Eddie The Eagle as taciturn and reluctant ski jump coach Bronson Peary, alongside Taron Egerton, who stars as unlikely Olympian Eddie Edwards.</p>

<p>Taron’s name has recently been linked to the part of Han Solo in the upcoming origins movie, although details have been kept carefully under wraps.</p>
<p>But the Welsh actor insisted he is not currently involved – even if he would love to play the part.</p>
<p>He told Jonathan: “I’ve heard this rumour, yes, I mean I’ve seen the stuff on the internet and I think any lad of my age would kill to play a part like that. It’s very, very flattering.</p>
<p>“I’ve no idea if there’s any truth in it but I mean, Lucasfilm, Disney, if there is – then you know where I am.”<br />
The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday at 9.40pm on ITV.</p>
