<p>Winter storms and a continuing shortage of de-icing fluid have caused scores of flights to be cancelled at German airports, while at least three people died on icy roads.</p>
<p>Frankfurt Airport saw 55 flights cancelled on Friday, while EasyJet grounded all of its planes at Berlin&#8217;s Schoenefeld.</p>
<p>Even though snow has largely stopped falling, the quick onset of wintry conditions across Europe has caused a shortage of de-icing fluid needed for planes.</p>
<p>Airports say the situation should return to normal by the end of Friday.</p>
<p>Freezing temperatures have also caused widespread black ice on roads and scores of accidents.</p>
