<p>Murder police are investigating after a badly injured 15-year-old boy was found dead in a bath.</p>
<p>The teenager was discovered apparently drowned and with a number of other injuries at the property in Newham, east London, at lunchtime on Saturday.</p>
<p>A 27-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman have been arrested.</p>
<p>Police were called by London Ambulance Service to the property in Hathaway Crescent at 12.15pm following reports of a drowning.</p>
<p>Officers found the boy in the bath with &#8220;a number of injuries&#8221; and he was pronounced dead at the scene.</p>
<p>Next of kin were aware, Scotland Yard said.</p>
<p>The death is being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem examination is being arranged.</p>
<p>Members of the Met&#8217;s Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating.</p>
<p>The two people arrested are in custody at separate police stations in east London.</p>
