Jacob Rees-Mogg apologises over Grenfell ‘common sense’ comments

the Fire Brigades Union said that Grenfell residents had been in a &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;terrifying&comma; impossible” situation&comma; and added&colon; <em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It was &lbrack;…&rsqb; the MP had said that the doctor concerned&comma; David Nicholl&comma; was being irresponsible by warning about the possible effects of a no-deal Brexit on medicine supplies&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Mr Rees-Mogg’s apology came on the same day the head of the London Fire Brigade &lpar;LFB&rpar; said that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;knowing what we know now”&comma; the service would respond differently to a Grenfell-like fire&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The inquiry report into the 2017 blaze which killed 72 people said a decision on evacuation &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;could and should have been made between 1&period;30am and 1&period;50am and would be likely to have resulted in fewer fatalities”&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>LFB commissioner Dany Cotton said at the London Assembly fire&comma;
