<p>Javier Bardem and Jennifer Lawrence swapped the deprivation of their Oscar-nominated films for the luxury of a pre-awards party in an LA penthouse.</p>
<p>The two actors, who are expected to turn out for the Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, celebrated the nominations for Biutiful and Winter&#8217;s Bone respectively, at a party at LA&#8217;s Soho House.</p>
<p>Jennifer&#8217;s Winter&#8217;s Bone co-star John Hawkes and the film&#8217;s writer-director Debra Granik were also at the bash, as was Biutiful&#8217;s writer-director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.</p>
<p>Party guest also included David O. Russell, nominated for best director for The Fighter, and last year&#8217;s best director Kathryn Bigelow.</p>
<p>Biutiful,which tells the story of a dying man trying to leave a legacy for those he loves, is up for best foreign-language film. Javier, its star, is nominated for best actor. Winter&#8217;s Bone, about a girl unraveling the mystery of her father&#8217;s disappearance in the rural Ozarks, is nominated for best picture and best adapted screenplay, along with first-time acting nods for Jennifer and John.</p>
