		</div><p>Joey Essex claims he has found God after being left with two crucifixes on his back following a freak gym accident.</p>
<p>The former &#8216;Only Way Is Essex&#8217; star accidentally hit himself with a skipping rope and thinks the cross-shaped marks left on his back could be a message from his late mother Tina who committed suicide when he was just 10 years old.<br />
Joey said:</p>
<p>&#8220;I was skipping hard in the gym when I accidentally lashed myself. It drew blood and hurt.</p>
<p>&#8220;When I looked at the injuries I saw two big perfect crosses &#8212; they are the crucifixes you get.</p>
<p>&#8220;Maybe it&#8217;s a message from Mum but I&#8217;m going with it being a sort of religious message.&#8221;</p>
<p>The 25-year-old admitted he thought about turning to God when he first lost his mother but decided against it for fear of being judges.</p>
<p>He told The Sun newspaper:</p>
<p>&#8220;Being a Christian is sort of not cool&#8230; I have suppressed such feelings before but this is weird.</p>
<p>&#8220;Before I didn&#8217;t want to get involved. I was scared of looking stupid but now I am comfortable with it.</p>
<p>&#8220;I won&#8217;t be telling my mates though in case they think I&#8217;ve gone strange.</p>
<p>&#8220;I am older and confident and comfortable enough to deal with it now without worrying about being laughed at. Now I know I&#8217;ve seen the signs. It is what it is.&#8221;</p>
