		</div><p>A judge has denied a request by lawyers for Bill Cosby&#8217;s wife to postpone her testimony in a defamation lawsuit brought by seven women who claim the comedian sexually assaulted them.</p>
<p>The judge in Springfield, Massachusetts, ruled that the deposition, scheduled for Monday, can proceed.</p>
<p>A different judge had ruled on Friday that Camille Cosby&#8217;s deposition must proceed.</p>
<p>However, defence lawyers filed an emergency motion late on Saturday requesting it be delayed, saying Mrs Cosby, 71, &#8220;has had no involvement with the facts or allegations underlying this case&#8221;.</p>
<p>They said her public testimony would serve &#8220;no purpose other than to harass and embarrass her&#8221;.</p>
<p>Mrs Cosby is slated to answer questions under oath in the suit that alleges Bill Cosby sexually assaulted the women decades ago.</p>
