<p>Jennifer Lopez, American Idol&#8217;s new judge, is hoping to strike it lucky as the talent show pays a visit to Las Vegas.</p>
<p>The 60 finalists will be narrowed down to 40 as contestants sing Beatles&#8217; tunes on stage in Sin City.</p>
<p>&#8220;You really get to see who are the performers and who is not,&#8221; the singer, who is joined on the revamped judging panel by Aerosmith&#8217;s Steve Tyler, said.</p>
<p>The hit show is taking a softer approach this year following Simon Cowell&#8217;s exit.</p>
<p>Randy Jackson, the only original judge remaining, revealed he has re-christened the show Season 10, the Remix.</p>
<p>Of the latest batch of American Idol hopefuls, he said: &#8220;We all want them to do well because we actually believe in them.&#8221;</p>
<p>Contestants are also expected to cover both singers&#8217; greatest hits.</p>
