		</div><p>Louis Tomlinson is &#8220;very happy&#8221; to have become a father to a baby boy.</p>
<p>The 24-year-old singer and his ex-girlfriend Briana Jungwirth welcomed the couple&#8217;s first child into the world in Los Angeles this week and the One Direction star has taken to his Twitter account today (23.01.16) to confirm the news with fans and share his delight in having a &#8220;healthy and pretty amazing&#8221; son.</p>
<p>Louis wrote: &#8220;I&#8217;m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I&#8217;m very happy! (sic)&#8221;<br />
Just minutes after his first tweet the excited new dad posted the lyrics to Boney M.&#8217;s 1976 popular hit &#8216;Daddy Cool&#8217; and wrote: &#8220;Daddy Daddy cool&#8221; and soon after, followed it up with a string of smiley emojis.</p>
<p>The newborn&#8217;s name or pictures of the little tot have yet to be shared.<br />
But messages of congratulations have started to flood in for Louis and 23-year-old Briana.<br />
The singer&#8217;s band-mate Harry Styles wrote on Twitter today: &#8220;Flowers all round.&#8221;</p>
<p>And the social networking site went into meltdown on Friday (22.01.16) after the arrival was first reported, when within a matter of minutes, #WelcomeBabyTomlinson was trending and fans worldwide offered their congratulations to the One Direction star.</p>
<p>The news broke when a One Direction fan account wrote that Briana&#8217;s grandmother had confirmed the news, and had also revealed the baby was a boy.</p>
<p>Whilst Instagram post claiming to be from Briana&#8217;s relative Marianna Case congratulated the pair on the new arrival, reading: &#8220;Louis just let Ur heart dance. U now have another you. A gift that will want to be just like YOU.</p>
<p>&#8220;Love him &#038; my young grandchild that gave him to you. LET her know she&#8217;s special. She just wanted to love U not even knowing who U were or your profile Ur &#038; reputation. Be free &#038; just LIVE. It&#8217;s simple. Not complex (sic).&#8221;</p>
<p>Louis&#8217; former stepfather had also posted a teasing message on his Twitter page on Friday morning, writing: &#8220;Is that the patter of tiny feet?&#8221;</p>
